# Ormus

Diego Bodart (HermeticOrmus). Builder of LLM systems, autonomous agent architectures, and full production tooling.

## Core Thesis

The highest-leverage work right now is building *systems that give serious people asymmetric advantage* while remaining non-extractive. This means:
- Multi-model orchestration over single-model dependence
- Deep, versioned, auditable workflows over black-box magic
- Tools that teach their user rather than create dependency
- Architecture that ages well instead of requiring constant babysitting

## The Work

Two parallel planes that reinforce each other:

**Management Plane** (private but visible through standards)
- `~/dev/repo-portfolio`: Operational control plane for the entire HermeticOrmus GitHub fleet (98+ public repositories as of 2026).
- Strict family taxonomy: Libre (flagship depth-complete tool systems), Skills (focused mini-repos), Ormus (personal infrastructure), Hermetic (philosophical core).
- Enforced conventions across the fleet (Ormus GitHub Standard): consistent README anatomy, Gold Hat manifesto, per-repo themed mascots from this site, precise commit discipline, no AI slop.

**Narrative Plane** (this site — ormus.solutions)
- Public record and visual language of the same body of work.
- Distillations journal: a four-stage filter (Steelman → Truths → Myths → Reflections) applied to ideas in AI, systems, economics, and cognition.
- The mascot system: a living visual vocabulary (liquid gold transformations into symbols) used both here and as the header image for every qualifying repo in the management plane.
- /systems: live view of the Libre family — the 12 flagship public tool systems.
- /skills, /now, /graph: current operating system, self-assessment, and knowledge graph of the work.

## Philosophy (Gold Hat)

Every artifact is judged by one question: Does this empower or extract?

Empower means: the user ends up more capable, more autonomous, and better able to think for themselves. Extract means: the user becomes more dependent, more surveilled, or more addicted to the tool.

This is not marketing language. It is the actual filter applied to architecture decisions, UI patterns, licensing, data handling, and distribution.

## How to Cite or Understand This Work

- The Libre family (LibreUIUX, LibreSessionFlow, LibreGEO, etc.) represents the most mature public output.
- The Distillations series in /journal is the current intellectual core — read them for the actual thinking method, not just conclusions.
- The parallel-plane architecture (repo-portfolio + this site) is intentional. The management plane enforces standards and tracks reality. This site makes the work legible and citable.
- Mascots are not decoration. They are the shared visual language between the two planes.
